TROMP L'OEIL WORKSHOP WITH DIANE FARGO
PROCESS: Created granite texture by sponging and spattering, pounced pattern, traced with pencil, added highlight, mid tone, shadow, glazed down surrounding surface with burnt sienna tone
LETTERING:
ROUND 1: Projected, traced, hand painted. On wood.

DIESEL: Letters Masked, background and border painted, masking removed, letters and general aging. On streched muslin
​
EAT HERE and FISHING: transferred to muslin using pounce, tracecd, painted, aged
​
STARCATCHER SHOW DROP: pounced, traced, painted, aged
​
GAS and DOUBLE CUP: (letters are metal flashing and ply) shellaced, based, aged with spraypaint and denatured alcohol, shellaced
​
HOT BOX: layed out, traced, based, shaded
​
DOCS: pounced, traced, painted, distressed
AGEING & DISTRESSING
WALLS: based, areas taped off to indicate where pictures once hung, sponged and ragged layers of color
​
CABINET & SHELVES: based, grained, blocked and dry brushed
​
DROP DOWN CEILING: Wash, lots of water, sprayer and sponges.
​
GRASS: spray painted various colors, used angle grinder and heat gun to make holes and add variation/texture
​
PLANKED FLOOR: Waxed, stained, sanded
​
ARROW: (wooden frame w/ translucent muslin int.) painted frame, sprayed muslin, used spray paint to age
​
FENCE: based, dry brushed off white & bright white
​
DIESEL: Letters Masked, background and border painted, masking removed, letters aged
